In der Nacht zum heutigen Montag wurden die 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards verliehen. Gab es bei den Nominierungen für die Hollywood Foreign Press Association Awards noch einige Überraschungen, so konnten sich diese am Ende doch nicht durchsetzen. Der 20th Century Fox‘ Film Deadpool hatte zwei Nominierungen bekommen – Ryan Reynolds als bester Schauspieler im Genre Musical oder Comedy und als bester Film Musical oder Comedy. Am Ende ging der Merc-With-A-Mouth jedoch leer aus.

 

Westworld, Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot und Stranger Things

Die beiden HBO Genre-Serien Game of Thrones und Westworld, die sich beide eine Nominierung für „Best Television Series, Drama“ sichern konnten gingen ebenso leer aus wie Schauspielerin Lena Headey, die für die beste Nebendarstellerin in einer Serie für Game of Thrones nominiert war. Genauso erging es auch Evan Rachel Wood und Thandie Newton, die für Westworld als beste Schauspielerin bzw. die beste unterstützende Schauspielerin nominiert waren. Mr. Robot und Stranger Things waren ebenfalls nominiert, konnten aber leider ebenfalls keine Golden Globes abgreifen.

Die Gewinner sind in der untenstehenden Liste hervorgehoben. Abräumer des Abends war der Film „La La Land“, der insgesamt 7 Globe’s abräumen konnte.
